This VHF antenna covers the 218 - 222 MHz range. The 220 MHz band, often referred to as 1.25 meters, is primarily used by HAM radio operators in the USA and Canada for local voice, FM, data, and repeater communications.  It is known for being a quieter, less congested alternative to the 2-meter band.

The 218-222 MHz range is often used for specialized commercial or land mobile radio use.
